Getting old is a sneaky process to be sure. I have noted, over the past couple of years, that I am experiencing very slow and subtle increases in little bothersome pains, a little more stiffness — a little more slowness … things that seem somewhat inconsequential at first glance but which become increasingly annoying with the passing of time. Today I arrived at the conclusion that maybe I shouldn’t be so calorie conscious at my age anymore. What kind of damage can extra body weight do to somebody who is more than 80-years-old? I mean to say that by age 80, we have lived beyond our normal life expectation anyway and the way I see it is that any more time that we are given is gravy and a blessing!
